My Story to Support Your Journey

I was so excited to turn 40, after overcoming so much trauma and adversity in my life, I finally felt like I was making good progress, coming into myself and working out who I truly am. Maybe you have been there? Maybe you are there right now?

For a few years things were awesome, I was strong and fit. I had started running and went on to run half marathons, then marathons and ultra marathons. It was fantastic! Working out how strong my body was, how capable I was, that was truly inspiring to me.

Then things started to shift. After running New York Marathon in 2023 I developed double pneumonia. I came down like a tonne of bricks, I honestly thought I wouldn't recover. I tried to get back into running but couldn't, I felt like I was running on empty. I had to withdraw from an ultra-marathon I had set a goal for, a decision I hated at the time, but I knew my body would never make it. That led to adrenal fatigue, the research showed rest, nutrition and exercise was the remedy. Really? I was resting, I am a coach with access to the best nutritional information and supplement range on the planet, and I was exercising as I could but it was not improving. Thankfully I saw a naturopath, and we worked on my central nervous system.

I felt good for a while, but I wasn't feeling as great as I knew I could. That's when the overwhelm started, I didn't notice it at first. I thought I was just doing too much and worked on reducing my load and increasing my capacity. 

At 46 I was in an appointment with my daughter, the psychiatrist explaining the ADHD brain and how medication helps, and I realised the brain he was describing was MY brain too! So I got tested. Not to prove I had ADHD, but to learn how to better support my brain and myself. Labels are care instructions. 

Since then I have been navigating the journey of perimenopause as a woman with ADHD - the double whammy! Let me tell you it's been real!

So that brings us here. Right here in this moment where I am saying: There is not enough REAL information out there for women. There is not enough attention being paid to women in this season of life. Because here's the thing, knowledge is power, and there is nothing more valuable than LIVED experience. I have learnt so much about the woman's body, how unique and complex it is, why we need to eat different, train different and rest different - not just different to men but different to our 20's and 30's. 

Flourish in Your 40's & Beyond is created FOR you, because I have a heart to serve women. I believe sharing is caring, and I want you to have access to support, understanding, care and valuable information while you navigate this season of life.

Let's be real, my brain could take this in a million directions, and I want to give you the information you want so that makes it pretty fluid. I will share my experiences, my knowledge, research I come across, and I am bringing live events to you through my collaboration with other incredible women I am working with in this space.
